Since the 1800s, our central location on the middle of Gjende and at the foot of Besseggen has made Memurubu a great place for mountain people to be.
Stay with us in connection with your Besseggen hike or a longer hike around Jotunheimen, or you can stay here for several nights and explore more of the local surroundings. We have accommodation to suit everyone, with everything from simple dorms to rooms with a private bathroom and toilet.
As tradition dictates for mountain lodges in Norway, you are more than welcome to visit us without reserving room in advance. We never turn anyone away, and we always have an extra mattress at hand. However; in order to make your experience as pleasant as possible, we still recommend you reserve room in advance, so that you can be sure to get a bed, or even your own room.
